Client’s Rights on Booking the Free Consultation Call
Right to Informed Purpose: Clients have the right to understand that the consultation is for information-gathering, asking questions, and assessing suitability—not for therapeutic treatment.
Right to No Obligation: Clients are under no obligation to book paid sessions following the consultation and will not be pressured to do so.
Right to Confidentiality: Any personal information shared during the consultation is kept confidential and handled in accordance with professional and legal standards.
Right to Clear Communication: Clients are entitled to clear information about what the consultation includes, how it will be conducted (e.g., by phone or video), and how long it will last.
Right to Cancel or Reschedule: Clients may cancel or reschedule the consultation with reasonable notice, with no penalties or charges.
Right to Respect and Professionalism: Clients are entitled to be treated with courtesy, respect, and without discrimination or judgment.
Right to Ask Questions: Clients can ask questions about the therapist’s approach, qualifications, and whether hypnotherapy is appropriate for their needs.
Right to Decline Sharing Information: Clients may choose not to answer certain questions or share details during the consultation, without consequence.
Right to Data Protection: Personal information collected during booking or the call is handled securely and in compliance with data protection regulations (UK-GDPR is applicable).
Client’s Rights on Booking Sessions and Paying in Advance:
Right to Clear Information: Clients have the right to receive clear details about the service, including session length, fees, cancellation policy, and what hypnotherapy involves, before completing a booking.
Right to Secure Payment: All payments are processed securely through trusted platforms (e.g., PayPal, Stripe). Clients have the right to a secure and transparent transaction.
Right to a Confirmation: Upon successful booking and payment, clients are entitled to a confirmation of their appointment via email or other agreed method.
Right to Cancel or Reschedule: Clients may cancel or reschedule with [e.g., at least 24 hours’] notice, in line with the stated cancellation policy, and are entitled to a refund or credit if applicable.
Right to Professional Service: Clients are entitled to receive the service booked, on time, from a qualified and ethical practitioner.
Right to a Refund (When Applicable): Clients may be eligible for a refund under the terms of the cancellation policy or if the practitioner cancels the session.
Right to Data Protection: Any personal or payment information provided during booking is protected in accordance with data protection laws (e.g., GDPR if you’re in the UK/EU).
Right to Change Their Mind (Cooling-Off Period): If applicable under local consumer protection laws, clients may have a limited time to cancel after booking and receive a full refund.
Right to Access Terms & Conditions: Clients are entitled to access and review the full terms and conditions related to their booking at any time.
Right to Raise Concerns or Provide Feedback: Clients have the right to contact the practitioner with any questions, concerns, or feedback regarding their booking or session.
Right/Necessity to be Accompanied if Client is Under 16/18 Years of Age: It is required that all minors be accompanied at any sessions, either in-person or online, by a carer or parent; unless Gillick Competence can be demonstrated. (Gillick competence refers to a legal standard in the UK that determines whether a child under 16 has the maturity and understanding to make decisions about their medical treatment without the need for parental consent).
